Let me start this off by saying this situation sucks. It was not handled especially well by him or by the club and I think they are both to blame for the way things exploded over the internet.
That being said, I refuse to demonize him. I'll be the first to say that I'm just as loyal to certain players as I am to clubs, and since Torres made me a fan of Liverpool, I suppose I'll just have to suck it up and deal with sometimes rooting for Chelsea (ick! *flails*). People can't really say that this comes out of nowhere, since the entire season all I've been hearing has been how he looks like he's not mentally there or seems on his way out. I'm surprised he didn't leave over the summer, since it was obvious he felt upset and like the club had gone back on several of their promises to him. Chelsea is good this season in a way Liverpool hasn't been for several years, they've always wanted him, and he probably felt that this offer could give him a chance for a new start. I don't know his reasons, I'm not privy to his thoughts, but I think he felt let down by the club and all the changes came too little too late when he'd already decided it was time to go. He hasn't lashed out at the club; I actually don't mind what he had to say in an interview:
"It is like the destiny," he continued. "It is not perfect for me but we will see what happens and I only have good words about Liverpool.

"They made me a top player and gave me the chance to play at the top level. I will never say anything bad about Liverpool, I have been very happy there, but now the history is different and I am playing for Chelsea. If I have the chance to play I will do my best for Chelsea and hopefully I can score."

It's not going to be enough for a lot of fans, and I believe he should further explain why he left now in this manner, but he's going on. We should too.

I also have grown to love Liverpool, though. I don't agree with the way they shouted out for the world to hear that they'd turned down a Chelsea offer of however many million. Offers are made and turned down all the time. I can't help but feel that the only reason they announced it all over the place was to put the pressure on Chelsea to drive the price up. They got what they wanted. Now they can rebuild and start anew, really reworking themselves and coming up from seventh place. It'll be interesting to see how Suarez fits into their squad, but I believe they can make a comeback.

I probably haven't explained myself eloquently, but these are just the thoughts I've put together over the night, away from the emotion of the actual moment. There ya go.
