Wanting to wish everyone a happy New Years before the day is actually over!!! I hope everyone has been safe and enjoying themselves today. My family and I spent the day at my aunt and uncle's with most of my mom's family, which was a ton of fun. A lot of my cousins were there, including the one I go to school with but sadly not the two older cousins, one of whom is in Afghanistan and the other is in Ohio for work. My break has been relaxing so far, though Christmas shopping for everyone within three days was not a party. We kept the tree and wreath unadorned for Winter Solstice and then decorated them for Christmas on Christmas Eve (none of us are actually Christian, but my parents were raised celebrating the holiday so we still do. I myself am a Celtic Wiccan, hence Winter Solstice). Currently on the hunt for a new flute. I think my teacher will cry if I come back to school with the same one.

Also, can I just add that the Paul McCartney tribute on the Kennedy Center Honors was absolutely awesome? Loved it, along with the tribute to Bill T. Jones.
