I'm finally back from my three weeks away. The last two weeks, I was deprived of caffine, music, and t.v., but I still had an awesome time.

First, it's All Arts and Science. That was at George Mason Uni and I took screenwriting and marine biology. The screenwriting was awesome; the teacher thought one of my pieces was 1984-esq, and another one I started by thinking of a thing that Becca and Ene do (the "So if I take your ankle..." thing). Marine bio was also cool. We dissected a squid and a shark, and I kissed the shark for a picture. It was covered in poison, so it tasted disgusting, but I didn't ingest any, so I'm still here... obviously. I made friends with 4 other girls in my unit, so we became The 5, and the popular girls were The 7. But The 5 and The 7 got along well, so it was cool. I think I might be going back as a CIT next year, but we just have to wait and see.

The last two weeks were Rim Rock. I had only 36 hours between AASC and CRR, so when I got there, I was incredibly tired. My whole cabin bonded almost instantly and the arrival of Elisa, a French girl who knew no English and who we all needed to really help, just cemented us together. Soon, everyone in the unit was really close and it was awesome. I got placed in Ring 6 out of 8 for riding and was given Nightstar, who I had last year. He is my baby and I love him like hell. However, Nightstar was sick for my first two ring lessons, and I rode Salt instead, who was new but a very hard worker, and I really enjoyed riding her. I am now totally over my fear of cantering. After Nightstar got better, I rode him two lessons before he got sick again, along with Salt. On the last day, I rode Pansie, who was usually Elisa's horse (she was in my ring) but she had bloodblisters on her feet that hurt her incredibly, so I got to ride Pansie. We jumped and cantered that day, and I can't describe how awesome it was to jump again. I absolutly loved it, and Pansie was a trained jumper, so she was really good. I almost galloped on her by mistake, but I got it under control.

For Sports the whole two weeks, I played rugby. That was a totally wicked sport that I'm seriously going to have to play here. I got a battle scar because I had this thing about not letting go of the ball when it was dropped at the start of a play, so the counsellor I was fighting with it for dragged me across the pitch. I think she got tired of fighting for it and decided just to try and score. And I got punched in the eye and lifted up from underneath. The nurses wanted to ban rugby because the girls in my unit kept on coming in with rugby-related injuries...

Damn, I forgot to email Elisa today! She's staying at CRR for four weeks (her parents sent her without telling her for how long!) and she wanted mail, so the girls in my cabin all said they would email her. But thankfully, 6 other French girls came for these two weeks, so she won't be alone. I was seriously considering staying just so that I could be with her - she didn't know English when she came! It was such a culture shock to her, all I wanted to do was protect her! I think I've developed a serious mother syndrome...
